There was a time when Australia’s only landlocked federal territory had a reputation for being a tad boring. Apparently the National Mint and Questacon weren’t enough excitement for some people. But that’s all changed, and these days you Can-berra see many Big Things in the nation’s capital.
Well, nine if you include the Big Budget Deficit. Meow!
It’s fun to criss-cross the Territory tracking down the crazy critters, enormous edibles and the incomparable Big Thorny Devil. They’re all so close, meaning that C-Town is quickly becoming a hot tourist destination. There are even more Bigs just over the border in Queanbeyan.
In fact, they should change the name of the place to the Australian Capital Big-otry. Actually, after seeing what goes on there, maybe they already have!
